RE-UP formed in Boston in the summer of 2008. with a first show at a tiny place called the Bullfinch Yacht Club. The owners were not expecting to witness the incredible impact RE-UP’s music had on its locals while opening up for the 6th Degree and incredulously invited the band back for future performances. After realizing the musical potential and how dancetastic the fans had reacted, RE-UP took to the local Boston basements and continued to grow it’s fanbase while performing in larger venues like The Middle East and Berklee’s Performance Center. .jpg)
After the first several months recognition for their posters began taking Boston by storm in an extremely controversial fashion catching any local city goers eyes on a daily basis.
Being called in by Berklee administrators for the controversy band members smoothed out the artistic endevour and made everyone involved in the meeting feel comfortable with the poster art being portrayed making RE-UP’s name an unforgettable one.
Amongst the initial teachers of these band leaders becoming enthralled in the music other great industry leaders and musicians such as George Massenburg and Linda Ronstadt began showing their support for this revolution and RE-UP was able to make songs under his direction.
Press Kits began afloat and an album began underway with a constant Live showcase that continually began to grow with help from friends at Wheelock, BU, Berklee, Simmons, UMASS, Suffolk.
RE-UP would like to thank all of you. 1 Love +++++
